.270 Weatherby Magnum (24-inch barrel)

Warning! Notes: Most of these loads were maximum or near maximum for the rifle used, and they should be approached with caution when tried in other rifles chambered for the .270 Weatherby Magnum cartridge. All loads used the Federal 215 Magnum primer. All 160-grain Noslers keyholed when fired through 1-in-12 twist barrel of the Weatherby rifle. A 1-in-10 twist is needed to stabilize this bullet. (Rifle Issue #8, March, 1970)
