.243 Rockchucker (P.O. Ackley Data) Reloading Data

Warning! Notes: Standard twist: 10". This is simply the standard .257 Roberts necked down with a 32 degree shoulder. Before the advent of the .244 Remington cartridge the .243 Rockchucker was gaining wide popularity as a varmint and big game cartridge. Since the introduction of the .244 Remington which is identical for all practical purposes (the only difference being 6 degrees in the shoulder angle) almost all shooters interested in this class of cartridge settle on the Remington because of the availability of factory ammunition. Handloading data should be identical and interchangeable. (Handbook for Shooters & Reloaders/Vol. 1 - P.O. Ackley, 1962) NOTE: USE THIS DATA WITH EXTREME CAUTION
