Warning! Notes: This is a .22 cartridge made by necking the .303 British case down to .22 without any other change. It produces a cartridge in the Swift or Varminter class as is adapted for use in single shot rifles, and bolt or lever action rifles designed for use with long rimmed cartridges. It was originally designed in Australia for use on Australian varmints and has gained wide popularity in other countries where the .303 British cartridge is common and easily obtained. This cartridge is very similar to many American versions made by necking .30/40 brass. Standard twist: 14". Special twist: 16". (Handbook for Shooters & Reloaders/Vol. 1 - P.O.
